Gene Simmons, Dallas Cowboys Salute the Troops at Super Bowl XLV Party
Despite the ice, thousands of party-goers attended Gene Simmons’ Aces & Angels Salute to the Troops last night at Centennial Hall in Fair Park. (That last-minute discount ticket sale must have worked.) And there were plenty of Dallas Cowboys mixing it up with fans, including running back Tashard Choice and safety Gerald Sensabaugh—both of whom said they were glad to have the Super Bowl in Dallas, but not so happy to not be playing in the big game—along with wide receiver Sam Hurd and linebacker Keith Brooking.
“Poker brat” Phil Hellmuth, winner of a record 11 World Series of Poker bracelets, emceed a $10,000 Texas State Poker Championship going on at one end of the gigantic hall; he even did a little rap. Also attending were country music’s Randy Travis and Rudy Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers, actor Burton “Bubba” Gilliam (known for his role as Lyle in Mel Brooks’ Blazing Saddles), and Jagermeister models dressed as “angels.”
After an eternity, KISS front man Simmons finally arrived, with his longtime partner, actress and former Playboy model Shannon Tweed. The couple had been presented with a key to the city of Dallas this past Friday for their work with the Wounded Warriors project, then spent the last few days visiting soldiers at Fort Hood. They brought about 500 back with them to Dallas for last night’s party.

Drug gang violence in Mexico forces Vince Neil
to scrap tour dates
By Robin Leach
Wednesday, March 24, 2010 | 10:32 a.m.
No sooner did we report yesterday that Motley Crue singer Vince Neil would fly one of his own Vince Neil Aviation charter fleet planes over the border for this weekend’s concerts in Monterrey than he was forced to scrap the travel plans.
The Vince Neil Aviation fleet at Henderson Airport.
Vince was set to take off for Mexico for his first solo show Friday, but promoters called it off because of the country’s continuing drug gang violence and shootouts that have made headlines and TV newscasts in recent days.
“It was a fear not only for Vince’s safety but also for the fans,” said visibly upset promoter Gabe Reed. “We looked at this long and hard and evaluated it from every possible angle. We determined that the current security situation in Monterrey was unstable. We decided it was not worth putting anyone at risk.”
The concerts would have been the final dates of Vince’s South American tour in advance of his new album Tattoos & Tequila. Stops on the Tattoos & Tequila Tour in other Latin American countries went off without any problems.
We posted a Vince Neil Aviation launch story and photo gallery yesterday. While the fate of a Motley Crue: Crue Fest 3 Tour is up in the air and not expected to resume until 2011, Vince is embarking on a series of solo concert dates in the U.S. with his Vince Neil Band.
After four super-successful concerts in four countries in four days, rock superstar Vince Neil was en route home to Las Vegas yesterday from his South American tour that included his first-ever appearance in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Each one of the stops – Sao Paulo; Santiago, Chile; Santa Cruz, Bolivia; and Buenos Aires, Argentina -- was a sell-out concert.
Tour promoter Gabe Reed commented: “The response by the fans to this tour was amazing. We had sold-out shows at each stop, and Vince was in great form. Now we are off to spend some beach time in Aruba!”
Before Vince left for south of the border, he celebrated his birthday not only with a private dinner at N9NE Steakhouse in the Palms, but also with a mini-concert at his off-Strip Feelgood’s Rock Bar & Grill. He posted a YouTube video of the Vince Neil Band playing the Motley Crue classic “Don’t Go Away Mad, Just Go Away.”
Vince’s new solo album Tattoos & Tequila is set for release in early May. The title track with its accompanying video are now available for free download at VinceNeil.net. Included on the CD will be covers of The Sex Pistols’ “No Feelings” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Who’ll Stop the Rain.” Vince was in the studio recording session with drummer Zoltan Chaney and Slaughter musicians Dana Strum and Jeff Blando.
Vegas DeLuxe reported previously that Vince explained the album is titled Tattoos & Tequila after the two main passions of his life. He has two Vince Ink tattoo salons here, with plans to expand across the country, and he imports a tequila brand from Mexico for national distribution.

Reviews of Vince Neil Concert in Bolivia
Rock, sweat and Vince Neil
BY Marcelo Suarez
The rock turned to give Sonilum appointment on a Thursday night when Vince Neil, Motley Crue's voice, appeared on stage at the entertainment center about 23:15 to chant the thousands of fans songs like Dr. Feelgood, Do not go away mad, Live Wire, Girls, Girls, Girls and Wild Side.
Although the Californian is provided in full in each of the songs he played, several fans protested the show only lasted one hour and ten minutes and there were no traditional encore. Vince Neil was not lost by Bolivia.
An unforgettable concert but short
Jorge Arduz / Fan
Vince Neil, lead singer of the glam metal band Motley Crue, made us tremble with his great performance in one of the scenarios Sonilum. The singer made a review by the subjects that made him famous, from that Too fast for love, 1981, through the great Shout at the devil, 83, to finish with the best singles of the awarded Dr. Feelgood, 1989. The crowd chanted and 'mosheó' with each of their performances, as well as the band made up of Dana Strum on bass, guitarist Jeff Blando (both former members of Slaughter) and the bombastic drummer Zoltan Chaney (former partner of the original drummer the Crüe, Tommy Lee in his band Mayhem Methods ff), whose antics with the drumsticks and cymbals inspired more than a 'ohhh' admiration.
The sound was good, there was the usual lights and blackouts increases or decreases in volume. It was a rocking party atmosphere with boys dressed in black and those not so young but still living the music.
Vince Neil, a great band behind and the best rock concert in our country ...
Source: Patopeters.blogspot.com
Once again, I could see Vince Neil live and although the conditions were different this time, in the post I will just talk about the concert on Thursday 25 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. When the clock struck 11:23 pm - delay requested by the organizers - began around the sound of the band and the energy of "Live Wire", which has served as an opener onset Neil concerts for many years. The small space separating the VIP section of the stage quickly filled with those who had bought tickets in lounge (the most expensive event tickets, $ 70 U.S.) and began to emerge as digital cameras that record did not stop the action up there. "Dr Feelgood" was the next topic and despite the sound problems, the band continued until the end of the song. After a couple of minutes and passed the bar end, it was time for "Piece of your action," another theme of the beginning of Mötley Crüe.
Already lived Sonilum party and "Looks That Kill" served as the next number, to the delight of the 2,500 people who gathered for the show of the veteran band singer angelina. With acoustic guitar in hand, Vince began with the chords of one of my favorite themes of "Dr Feelgood", "Do not go away mad (just go away)," a song chanted by all and one of four learned from the best seller of the Crüe. Precisely, another theme that would work immediately, "SOS" with Vince again with a guitar, but this time an electric colors (the first time I remember him with an electric).
The microphone was removed from the main stage - following the singer - and Vince Neil joined the band as a trio, with guitarist Jeff Blando Becoming the owner of the show, reviving Led Zeppelin excellently with "Whole lotta love."
Soft, not only displayed his excellent qualities with the guitar, but could easily be a singer and frontman (I brought to mind images of Zakk Wylde and unless the design of the viola and bushy beard, thought he was watching live at once musician Ozzy).Dana Strum, founder of Slaughter (makes the band's manager) showed all his talent on bass and Zoltan Chaney made a separate show on drums (at times it was like having Tommy Lee, but with all the originality and respect Chaney deserves modest.)
After almost eight minutes, Neil returned to continue honoring Zep, with a version of "Rock and roll" to the delight of all fans of the pioneering English band. A trio of songs - each one more singing - would put the true finishing touch to the evening: "Kickstart My Heart", "Girls, girls, girls" and "Wild Side" (I do not think there could have been better seal that .) There was no encore, and many - not all - we were left with the desire to continue to enjoy a good rock show like few others. At least two other songs were included in the setlist, but the problems of monitoring, would have made Vince and his band decided to shorten the presentation.
It was the first time a real 'rockstar' visit Bolivia (please do not tell me that He was of this caliber, for more excellent singer who is, was always more low-profile) and I am happy for having been part of experience ...Those who were not, they lost a unique (even for culture should be seen) and I hope it serves to encourage other groups to bring fame to our country less and less rock.
Vince Neil in Santiago: a night of classics
After the real soap opera in which the filing became the vocalist of Mötley Crüe in our country, with the uncertainty, until the last minute, whether Vince Neil would act in Santiago, finally took place on a concert singer of clusters Glam rock's greatest. Really a shame that the support band, Devil Presley and Garden Bitch, not submitted by problems related to the production of the concert, since they would have been a perfect lead for the main course.
The show of California on Wednesday night, is the closest we have been able to be the fans to appreciate the power of the themes of Motley Crue live after it was presented in Argentina in 2008, at the Pepsi Fest, not crossing the Andes for a performance in our country.
But let himself into the show: at 22 o'clock the lights go out in a crowded theater Caupolicán sector only in his court, and the strains of "For Those About to Rock" from the classic AC / DC, echoing in the room. He then heard in the lines off of Jules Winnfield (Pulp Fiction Classics, who recited the passage from the Bible before killing his target), for musicians appear on stage and start with "Live Wire", clasicazo of the Crüe, and the response was not long in coming: the audience jumped elated with this great easy to continue without pause with "Dr. Feelgood "two great songs in less than five minutes! The Caupolicán fell apart and he's only started the concert!
Vince, very excited, greeted the attendees, thanking you for coming. First time in Chile, and the public has remarked, chanting his name. "Piece of my action" and "Looks That Kill", they sound great, with a great performance of the musicians who accompany Vince. Special mention to the drummer, who in a histrionic performance, captured the attention of those present.
Actually, the setlist was a success after another. "Same old situation" marked one of the flashpoints of the night with a Caupolicán doing palms to the sound of this classic 80, which would lead to the surprise of the night: Vince Neil leaves the stage and the band plays "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin, with a vocal quality of his guitar, followed by "Heaven & ell" court of the legendary Black Sabbath with Dio on stage voices, and close again with the classic Zeppelin.
Vince Neil looks back on the scene and soak up the rock of yore, and performs, guitar in hand, "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin. In its 49 years, the singer has a very good vocal quality, achieving a very sharp shape.
"Kickstart My Heart" continues the party, to start the final stage with "Girls, girls, girls", and closing with "Wild Side". Vince thanked the Chilean public to retire for five minutes and come back for one last issue: "Teaser" that was lengthened, and in which the band took charge of distributing Join, memory sticks and how attendees could cherish as real "trophies War "concert.
After about an hour and a half show, the group finally says goodbye, visibly grateful and happy to have played in Chile. It is hoped that Mr. Vince Neil, in the near future, we are delighted with Motley Crue and we appreciate the quality of one of the greatest glam rock bands of the world. Wednesday night was great, but we hope the Crue in our country some day. Hopefully soon.

MOTLEY CRUE SINGER CONCERT IN CHILE
FIXED FOR FEBRUARY
Terra Santiago, Chile
The frontman of one of the emblem of rock groups from Los Angeles to visit the country for the first time in its promotional plan new solo album. Jorge Lagash
SANTIAGO, Dec. 28 .- While the visit of the group Motley Crue is still an unfulfilled dream for fans of hard rock, at least begin to come down: the singer Vince Neil, frontman of the band that set the tone of the Californian rock in the '80s, today announced visit to South America. And Santiago de Chile is included.
For February 24, planned the first landing of the singer on national soil, in solo plan. The last in the region includes Argentina and Brazil. And even here yet to be defined compound, in the neighboring country (where will the 26) and takes place, and ticket system announced. It is expected that in coming days to add more dates to the South American tour, hosted by Gabe Reed Productions, which among other things worked on the last visit of Kiss when they were in Santiago with his tour "Alive 35" on the Bicentennial Stage Florida.
Neil prepares his new solo album called "Tattos & Tequila," which should be out in April and only known to include a cover of "Who'll Stop the Rain" from the Creedence Clearwater Revival. The plate is recorded with the two group members Slaughter bassist Dana Strum and guitarist Jeff Blando. Besides Zoltan Chaney on drums.
The blond singer is known worldwide as the voice and image of the Crüe, which exploded in the '80s as the model for all the action hardrockera of Los Angeles. Groups such as Guns n 'Roses, Ratt and many others were born under the imprint of the quartet that went down in history with classics like "Girls Girls Girls", "Dr. Feelgood "and" Shout at the Devil ".
Vince in his youth
in the '80s with Motley Crue
Along with the success, good Vince also collapsed in the excesses of his rock star status. Drugs, alcohol, women and fights were on par with his victory in the record stores, radio and the stage. He became addicted, he "grabbed" publicly with Axl Rose at the point of reaching challenges in the ring, he went with what "playmate" crossed his path and he came in the 90th, where he went for a moment of the band to make inroads for the first time as a soloist. In the only album where the group does not participate, was replaced by John Corabi.
Now assume that you are recovered from all these evils. His visit, interestingly, coincides with that of his former enemy, Axl Rose, which comes with the new lineup of Guns n 'Roses in March, just days after its filing. By the way, confirms that it will be a very auspicious start to the year for rock in the national billboard. And the aforementioned Metallica Guns n 'Roses are already on the table. For the more extreme side, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Overkill and Municipal Waste also arrive between January and March, giving hard metal. On the side of not so heavy guitars, Franz Ferdinand and The Cranberries are noted as important visits for the first months of the year.

Gabe Reed Productions Presents the SOLD OUT Opening Night of KISS' Alive 35 South American Tour
in Santiago Chile
Gabe Reed and Jorge Villalobos successfully promote the sold out April 3, 2009 concert in Santiago, Chile to open the KISS South American stadium tour and close the Chilean Pepsi fest. Gabe Reed commented that "the show was a wildly successful night in KISStory. Not only was it a sold out stadium, it was also the band's first show in Chile and South America in over 12 years and I am happy to have brought the band here to play for the Chilean KISS Army. I look forward to bringing KISS back in the near future."
In a review by the Chilian magazine Revolver Cristian Valderrama (translated by Jill Cataldo) stated: "The closing of Pepsi Music Festival brought a band that holds a legendary seat of honor in the history of rock: KISS, who would initiate its South American tour in our country, recalling 35 years of "Alive!", their live jewel of 1975. Within the stadium, a huge and powerful show was delivered, as much musically as visually."

KISS Webstream from The Staple Center
Attracts
Record Audience
by Jeremy Mullman
So it turns out giving a concert away online is a pretty good way to sell beer and video games.
On Nov. 25, Kiss partnered with live streaming video platform Ustream for an online broadcast of the bombastic and pyrotechnic closing concert for its "35 Alive" tour at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
The broadcast drew more than 2 million views -- Ustream's feed was viewed on its own site as well through social-media hubs such as Facebook -- and it generated enough buzz to rate as a trending topic on Twitter during the Thanksgiving eve performance. The 1.1 million unique visitors, while not rocking all night, stuck around a while: The average viewing time during the broadcast was 43 minutes.
"We knew we'd get a big audience," said Kiss' longtime manager, Doc McGhee. "But we didn't know they'd stay on for that long."
Ustream executives said part of the reason for the lengthy viewing times -- and the big audience -- was a backstage pre-show segment that ran before the concert started, which ramped up online buzz before the musicians took the stage.
Golden opportunity
The results obviously pleased the event's exclusive sponsor, Anheuser-Busch, which had the logo for its newly launched Bud Light Golden Wheat brand in the corner of the screen. (That brand's launch has featured a number of clever branded-entertainment partnerships, including a much-discussed "Saturday Night Live" takeover in October.)
"We're looking for ways we can connect outside the 30-second spot," said Keith Levy, VP-marketing at A-B. "Ustream was a unique way to do that." Mr. Levy said A-B found its way to Kiss through its extensive sponsorship of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," which has featured a number of high-profile musical acts, including Kiss. That deal, reportedly valued at $5 million, gives A-B sponsorship of some 187 of the show's concert events, as well as a spotlight on Bud Light in a series of live commercials.
Also benefiting from the massive live audience was Activision, which recently released a three-song Kiss "Track Pack" for its "Guitar Hero 5" game. That pack -- which includes the songs "Modern Day Delilah," "I Was Made for Loving You" and "Lick It Up" -- was plugged throughout the show via a text scroll on the bottom of the screen, and those efforts seem to have paid off: Activison Senior VP-Marketing Will Kassoy said the Kiss pack has had the best sales of any of the 15 "Guitar Hero 5" downloadable track packs since the game's September launch. (Activision doesn't release totals.)
Mr. Kassoy said Activision is likely to look to live-streaming concerts to boost track sales again.
"We'll definitely look to create these kinds of partnerships again in the future with other top-tier bands," he said.

The Dallas Morning News Covers Motley Crue's Vince Neil , AC/DC's Bryan Johnson and Gabe Reed on Halloween Night in Dallas
by Alan Peppard
Sooner or later, all heavy metal rockers retire their chain saws. For example, AC/DC band members were models of rectitude when in town for their Sunday show at American Airlines Center.
Shook me till bedtime
For frontman Brian Johnson, who sings "You Shook Me All Night Long," the wildest he got was hanging out Halloween night at the Rattlesnake Bar at the Ritz Carlton with Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil and Dallas entertainment attorney Gabe Reed. (After doing a solo show in Oklahoma, Vince came to Dallas to visit Gabe and other Dallas friends.)
AC/DC settles down
AC/DC paid a group visit to Villa-O on Travis Street, where they were polite to a fault. They were dressed as one would expect for aging, mellowed rockers – faded jeans, black T-shirts and world-weary faces.
Their drinks? Sodas and filtered water.
The band opted for mostly Italian pastas and wood-fired oven pizzas with only one member ordering the large steak pizzola. After a couple of hours they left in a private car, but not before a couple of fans asked them for their autographs. They obliged.
